Islamabad: It is likely that agreement between the government and the International Monetary Fund for 6.5 billion dollar will be inked within two weeks.
The Prime Minister Office (PMO) will contact to the International lender.
The government is negotiating with the IMF for 6.5 billions dollars loan program instead of 8 billion dollars.
The IMF and the government are in touch with each other for the loan program for last three months.
The new loan program between Pakistan and the IMF will be accorded under the advance measures.
Finance Ministry sources said that Pakistan striving hard for finalizing the agreement on 6.5 billions dollars.
The financial team of the government has been negotiating with the IMF virtually for three days.
It is also stated that the PM office and the ministry of finance will contact to Managing Director of the IMF.
As per the finance ministry sources Pakistan has implemented all the advance measures on the conditions of the IMF, hence the arrival of the IMF mission is not expected.
Pakistan on basis of the advance measures is continuing talks for the new loan program which will be completed in the current month in shape of the agreement.
