ISLAMABAD: The key targets for the upcoming fiscal year’s Annual Development Plan (2025-2026) have been finalized.
According to the budget document, the current account deficit for the fiscal year 2025-2026 is projected to be 0.5% of GDP, with a total deficit allocation of $2.1 billion.
The export target for the upcoming year has been set at $35.3 billion, while the import target is projected at $65.2 billion.
In the services sector, exports are targeted at $9.6 billion, with imports expected to reach $14 billion.
Additionally, the remittances target for the year has been set at $39.4 billion.
The overall export and import goals for goods and services are set at $44.9 billion and $79.2 billion, respectively.
It is noted that the federal government will present a budget of Rs. 17,600 billion for the fiscal year 2025-2026 on Tuesday.
