LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Saturday said that it was unfortunate that some 150 million children were out of schools in the country, and heavy amounts were being spent on projects like Metro Bus and Orange Line train.
Addressing the convocation of NUML College Mianwali, Khan said that the a nation was built through investment on people, adding that roads, bridges and mega projects did not make a great nation.
He said the secret of developed nation’s progress lies in investing on people.
He advised the students to earn through lawful means, unlike those who have been named in the Panama Papers.
“One may get rich through corruption, but he will never get respect,” he added He lamented that educational institutions have become a money-making business.
He said that it was unfortunate that the government was investing on roads and bridges, when it should be investing on people.
