LAHORE: PTI chief Imran Khan was heard urging US Congresswoman Maxine Moore Waters to raise her voice against breach of human rights and the rule of law in Pakistan in an alleged Zoom meeting audio leak on Saturday.
Mr Khan’s audio comes at a time when the PDM-led government has formed a bench to probe into audio leaks in the leadership of SC judge Justice Qazi Faez Isa.
In the audio Mr Khan could be heard beseeching Ms Waters to do so while apprising her of the assassination attempt at him, the “best economic indicators” of the country during his tenure, and “unprecedented” human rights violations being committed by the incumbent government.
He also held former COAS responsible for no-confidence move against him.
He sought her “help” saying, “It makes long waves in our country when some like Maxine gives a statement”.
