Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan will not be a candidate for the chairmanship in the intra-party elections.
According to sources, Imran Khan conveyed a message to the core committee of the party from jail and he will not be a candidate for the chairmanship in the intra-party elections.
Due to the punishment in the Toshakhana case, there will be a new candidate as the chairman in the intra-party election and another member will be elected as the chairman in the intra-party election.
Sources said that there will be elections for PTI chairman, vice chairman and organizational posts, the chairman will approve the organizational matters and decisions of the PTI party himself.
Imran Khan will take part in the intra-party elections as the chairman after his sentence is over, while Imran Khan himself will decide on the name for the new chairman.
Imran Khan’s lawyer and senior vice president of the party Shirafazl Marwat confirmed that Chairman PTI will not participate in the intra-party elections.
It should be noted that according to the decision of the Election Commission, the intra-party elections of Tehreek-e-Insaf will be held on Friday
