Islamabad (July 17, 2017): The chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan reiterated his stance of resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and demanded the registration of criminal cases against Sharif family.
Chairing a consultative meeting held to review today’s hearing in the Supreme Court, Imran said that criminal cases should be filed against the prime minister and his family, adding they all lied before the apex court and JIT.

“Sharif family has submitted forge documents in Supreme Court and told lies before the Panama Joint Investigation Team, therefore criminal cases should be filed against them,” Imran Khan said while addressing party’s crucial huddle held at Banigala after the first hearing of Panama Case.
He alleged that Sharif family has nothing for its defence and they challenged the JIT report only on the basis of assumptions.
“It became impossible for Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif to escape disqualification,” he said that their lies and fake documents have known by whole nation now.
The party’s core groups and media strategy committee meeting discussed the ongoing Panama JIT hearing in apex court and future course of action.
Imran Khan said that the Sharif family had nothing to defend themselves in court.

The meeting was attended by Jahangir Tareen, Chaudhary Sarwar, Shireen Mazari, Asad Umer , Firdos Ashiq Awan and other senior leadership.
Earlier, Sharif family challenged the final report of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) terming it biased and going beyond mandate and pleaded the Supreme Court to reject it.
The petition raised various objections over the JIT report for its findings without using testified documents and the sources. It also alleged biased attitude of the JIT members towards Sharif family.
