Imran Khan Continues Consultation With Party Leaders

Islamabad (July 31, 2018): Efforts on its peak for Government’s formation in Centre and Punjab by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf. Party Chief Imran Khan chairing yet another huddle of the party at Bani Gala today.

The senior leadership of the party are present at the meeting.

Leaders of the Balochistan Awami Party are also expected to meet Imran Khan.

Earlier On Monday, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Fawad Chaudhry claimed that PML-Q will be part of the PTI-led government in centre and Punjab, however chief minister of Punjab will be from PTI.

Talking to media, after meeting with PML-Q leaders, PTI leader claimed that PTI secured the required number of members to forming the government in Punjab as PML-Q will its alliance in the province.

“After joining of seven independent MNAs the tally will stand at 168 including women and minorities seats, Fawad said adding that the PTI tally in Punjab has reached at 180.

“The chief minister Punjab will be from PTI, however, the decision will be taken by the party chairman Imran Khan,” he clarified.

Replying to a question, he said the PTI will not take the decision of time for taking oath as it will depend on the president when he will call NA session.He further told reporters that Pakistan Muslim League Quaid’s (PML-Q) leaders Ch Shujat and Pervez Elahi called on PM-in-waiting Imran Khan at his residence in Bani Gala and pledged their alliance. “PML-Q will be part of coalition governments in Centre and Punjab”, he added.

Fawad apprised attendants that PTI enjoys two-third majority in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). He also added that PTI will be part of the coalition government in Balochistan. According to sources, 14 MPAs-elect (member of provincial assembly) have formally announced to join PTI.

Earlier on, two MPAs-elect Faisal Jawana and Aslam Bharwana who contested elections from Jhang’s PP-125 and PP-127 respectively has announced to join ranks of PTI. Likewise, independent MPA-elect from Multan’s PP-217 Sheikh Salman Naeem—who had contested elections against PTI’s vice-president Shah Mehmood Qureshi—has also announced to join PTI.With 129 seats in Punjab Assembly, PML-N enjoys slander lead over PTI but the inclusion of independent lawmakers have swung the political battle in latter’s favor.

It would be suffice here to say that Khan-led PTI will form a government in Punjab for the first time in country’s recorded history.
