Islamabad: Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa stated that the audio allegedly featuring PTI founder has not been leaked from the Supreme Court, and assured that he had thoroughly investigated the matter with the court staff.

The oath taking ceremony of the Press Association of Supreme Court, held at the Supreme Court building here on Friday. Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel, Justice Athar Minallah, Justice Naeem Afghan and Attorney General for Pakistan Mansoor Usman Awan were also present.

CJP said he had inquired the IT staff who apprised that there were some voices in the audio which did not belong to the top court.

The conversation between the PTI founder and judges during second hearing of a case pertaining to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) amendment was leaked which was widely shared on social media platforms.

Justice Athar Minallah, however, said as to what was wrong if the audio was leaked, adding that the conversation was made in an open court.

It is relevant to mention here that a photo of former prime minister Imran Khan from Courtroom No 1 on the first hearing of NAB amendment’s case was leaked when the PTI founder appeared before the court through video link from Adiala Jail, which widely went viral on social media.

During the second hearing of the case, audio conversation of Imran with the judges was also leaked that also ran widely on social media.
