RAWALPINDI: The lawyer of the founder of PTI, Faisal Chaudhry, was released after being in custody for 2 hours.
According to police sources, Faisal Chaudhry was held in custody for 2 hours and has now been released. After his release, Faisal Chaudhry spoke to the media and said that he had come today under the court’s orders to meet the founder of PTI. There were four lawyers in total, but we were not allowed to meet. On our way back, police officers at the Adiala Jail gate called us to a checkpoint.
Earlier, sources reported that Faisal Chaudhry was arrested yesterday for abusing Jail Officer Imran Riaz. According to police sources, Faisal Chaudhry was taken to the Adiala Jail checkpoint after his arrest, and additional police personnel had arrived at the jail.
It is important to note that the previous day, when Faisal Chaudhry was prevented from entering Adiala Jail, he became angry and had a heated argument with a jail official, during which he also used abusive language.
