India admits Pakistan school boys arrested for facilitating Uri attack are innocent

The two Pakistani school boys arrested by Indian Army on charges of facilitating Uri attack were declared innocent by the indian investigation agency, which exposed the Indian claims of Pakistan’s involvement in the attack.

The duo Faisal Hussain Awan and Ahsan Khursheed, who had strayed into Indian-held Kashmir,  were arrested by Indian Army and blamed them to be facilitators of Uri attackers. The Army had also claimed, that the two were working for Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and guiding terrorists to cross the Line of Control (LoC).

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) of India had admitted that there was no evidence against the arrested teenagers. The NIA agency submitted the report in the special court that the teenagers were not involved in Uri attack.

Faisal Hussain Awan and Ahsan Khursheed are students of 10th class and aged 16 years. They crossed over to Indian-occupied Kashmir on December 21 inadvertently. The Indian army arrested the teenagers and portrayed them as facilitators of Uri attack.

India media said that both the youth would be returned to Pakistan as a goodwill gesture. The Foreign Ministry will determine the procedure to rerun the youths.
