Pakistan ODI and T-20 skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has ‘revealed’ the reason as to why the India was avoiding to play against Pakistan.“Perhaps India are afraid of facing Pakistan which is why they don’t play against us,” Indian media quoted Ahmed as saying, after reports emerged of possibility of a Pakistan-India series later this year.
Sarfraz said he has always enjoyed playing against archrivals India and pointed out that Pakistan have always taken the initiative to play matches against India.
“India should respond positively to Pakistan’s efforts [to make the series happen],” the captain said.
On Kamran Akmal’s return to the national side, Sarfraz said he and the former wicketkeeper are not rivals. Prior to the start of the Pakistan tour to West Indies, Sarfraz had lauded Kamran Akmal’s performance in PSL 2017 and other domestic tournaments.
