ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday summoned Indian Deputy High commissioner to Foreign Office and lodged strong protest over the continued violation of ceasefire agreement at Line of Control (LoC).
Director General South Asia at Foreign Office Dr Muhammad Faisal summoned Indian Deputy HC J.P Sing to FO and lodged strong protest on firing at Jandrot and Nakial sectors at LoC on Nov 7, which killed three people including a woman.
Through the demarche handed over to the Deputy HC, strong protest was also lodged over the anti-Pakistan activities of Indian agents who were in Pakistan in the garb of diplomats.
On the occasion, Dr Faisal while emphasizing on implementing the 2003 ceasefire agreements demanded that probe must be held into the ceasefire violations.
In the demarche, India has been asked to follow ceasefire agreement and stop targeting civilian populations along the LoC.
