Lahore: India has once again released water into the Sutlej River, and the Indian High Commission has informed Pakistan of the flood situation, said the Ministry of Water Resources.
Meanwhile, PDMA DG Irfan Ali Kathia, while speaking to a private news channel said that the flood situation at Jalalpur Pirwala was extremely bad.
“Jalalpur Pirwala is being affected by [floodwaters] from Ravi, Chenab and Sutlej rivers” he said.
Kathia further added that Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz will visit Jalalpur Pirwala today.
As per the issued flood alert, there is high level of flood in the Sutlej River at Harike and Ferozepur.
