PARIS: The Indian government has presented a statement by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, against Pakistan as evidence to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
According to FATF officials, India submitted the statement made by the KP Chief Minister.Ali Amin Gandapur had alleged that while they arrest Taliban members, the agencies release them. The Indian government has considered Gandapur’s statement as supporting its stance and has requested Pakistan to be placed on the grey list.
FATF officials have stated that based on this statement, India argues that Pakistan supports terrorists. India has regarded Gandapur’s statement as a charge sheet against Pakistan.
It is noteworthy that in October 2022, FATF removed Pakistan from the grey list. Pakistan had been on the FATF grey list since 2018. Since then, the Indian government and Indian media have been continuously propagating against Pakistan and are now trying to get Pakistan re-listed in the grey category.
