BIRMINGHAM: India has opted to bat first after winning the toss against Bangladesh in the 40th match of the ICC World Cup 2019 at Edgbaston in Birmingham today (Tuesday).
With their unbeaten streak in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 halted by hosts England, the second-placed Indian team with 11 points will be eyeing to book a place in the semi-finals with a win.
On the other hand, Bangladesh, who are currently at sixth position on the points table, will have to register two wins in their remaining matches if they want to keep their World Cup hopes alive.
