RAWALPINDI: Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), has said the Pakistan Army delivered a response to India that “it will never forget”.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, he described the military’s strategic actions as a case study for the future. “We identified 26 targets and successfully struck every one of them,” he said, referring to the recent escalation between the two countries.
“We remained truthful, didn’t distort facts, and avoided spreading falsehoods—unlike the Indian government and media, which continue to promote fictional narratives,” he said. General Chaudhry dismissed Indian allegations linking Pakistan to an attack on the Golden Temple as baseless and absurd, asserting that targeting religious sites contradicts Pakistan’s values and faith.
He stressed that Pakistan’s response to Indian aggression was resolute, describing it as a “steel wall of resistance.”“India may have an $80 billion defence budget, but even with limited resources, we responded effectively using domestically developed JF-17 fighter jets and indigenous missile systems,” he said.
The general warned of the dangers posed by military confrontation between nuclear-armed nations, calling such behavior “reckless and dangerous.” He accused India of stoking a war-like environment for years but affirmed that Pakistan would never yield to threats or pressure.
