Indian Army Chief Should Be Wary of His Comments: FO

Islamabad (November 22, 2018): Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal said that the Indian Army Chief should be careful with his remarks when talking about Pakistan.

During the weekly press briefing, Dr. Faisal said, “The Indian Army chief should be careful with his comments.”

The Foreign Office spokesperson noted that “Pakistan has invited India to hold discussions on terrorism-related issues. India intentionally refused to invite Pakistan to the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium.”Speaking about the Indian army chief’s recent comments on Pakistan, Dr Faisal said, “The Indian chief should be careful with his comments.”

Moreover, Dr. Faisal also reflected on the proceedings over the investigation of SP Tahir Dawar.

Foreign Office spokesperson said that no information had been received so far from Afghanistan regarding the cop’s murder, and that investigation into the incident was underway in Pakistan.

Addressing the remarks of US President Donald Trump, the Foreign Office spokesperson remarked, “Pakistan provided intelligence assistance to the United States to crack down against al Qaeda terrorists”.

“We are aware of the United States’ contacts with the Taliban and we welcome the effort made,” the spokesperson added.

Earlier yesterday (November 21), Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr. Faisal condemned the killing of Kashmiri youths that occurred on November 20.

FO Spokesperson, expressing his views on the event, tweeted regarding the brutal assassination of Hafiz Ullah Mir by the hands of Indian troops.

Also, he appealed the United Nations (UN) to form a commission to look into the matter of Kashmir where human rights violation is reaching new heights each day.

FO Spokesperson Dr. Faisal added that Pakistan hails and supports the bold stance of Kashmiris, particularly Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in such tough times.

He emphasised that Pakistan highly condemns and censures the killings of five Kashmiris including leader Hafiz Ullah Mir in an act of tyranny of Indian troops.Earlier on November 20, in Occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred five Kashmiri youth.

The brave Kashmiri leader Hafiz Ullah came home just a month ago from the confinement of Indian forces.

He was gunned down at his own residence in southern Achabal area. Mir died on the spot while his wife was wounded in the attack, said police and residents.Reportedly, Hafiz Ullah was killed in his home when the Indian Forces entered his home during a so-called search operation and brutally assassinated the Kashmiri youth.
