ISLAMABAD: An Indian delegation has arrived in Islamabad to attend a meeting of National Coordinators of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, officials said.
The meeting is underway in the federal capital and is being chaired by Pakistan’s National Coordinator.
India’s National Coordinator, Alok Amitabh Dimri, is leading the Indian delegation at the SCO meeting.
The visit marks the first arrival of an Indian delegation in Pakistan in nearly two years.
According to sources, the participants will discuss issues concerning coordination and cooperation among SCO member states, along with matters related to the organisation’s ongoing activities.
The meeting is part of preparations for the SCO summit, which Pakistan is scheduled to host next year.
