SRINAGAR: Indian Police has raided over freedom Movement Tehreek-e-Hurriyat late leader Syed Ali Geelani’s home and office.
As per detail, in a recent development, Indian police conducted raids on the home and office of Syed Ali Geelani Shaheed, a prominent leader in Jammu and Kashmir. The office of the Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Movement (Tehreek-e-Hurriyat) was also targeted in the raids, according to Kashmir Media Service (K.M.S.).
During the operations, several important documents, including books authored by Geelani, were seized by the authorities. These actions have sparked outrage, with the All Parties Hurriyat Conference strongly condemning the raids, calling them an attack on the political and civil rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Over the past year, Indian police have raided the homes of more than 100 political and civil leaders in the region, confiscating documents and electronic devices. The raids are part of an ongoing crackdown on dissent and political activities in the disputed territory.
