Indian SC declared its govt revoking of article 373 of special status of IIHOK right

New Delhi: Indian Supreme Court declaring Indian Illegally held Occpied Kashmir (IIHOK) an integral part of the country rejected all the petitions filed which called for the restoration of JamMu and Kashmir special status under Indian constitution article 1 and 370.

While India’s top court retained the Indian government decision of August 5, 2019 in which the article was revoked ending the special status of Occupied Kashmir.

The Indian Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice (CJ) Dhananjaya Y. Chandrachud pronouncing the verdict said that after recognition of Kashmir it doesn’t have any internal autonomy adding that the article 370 implementation was temporary.

The Indian CJ went on to say that Jammu and Kashmir is a vital part of India under the aritice 1 and article 370.

The verdict reads that the aim of establishing Jammu and Kashmir assemly was not to make a body adding the article 370 does’nt freezes Jammu Kashmir inclusion.

“Indian President has right to confiscate any ariticle of the constitution.”Indian CJ said in its verdict.

Indian SC had reserved the verdict of the case on September 5 earlier this year.

A five-member larger bench of the Indian SC heard the case on daily basis. According to Indian SC, the court heard the petitions against revoking Indian article 370 for 16 days.

The Indian SC also ordered the government to conduct elections in the Jummu and Kashmir till September 30, 2024.
