LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari stated on Friday that any actions threatening the country’s integrity will be met with firm resistance.
During a meeting with Punjab Governor Sardar Salim Haider Khan, Bilawal held in-depth discussions regarding the political landscape of the province. He also interacted with various stakeholders, including parliamentarians, party ticket holders, senior journalists, business figures, student union representatives, lawyers, and party workers.
Highlighting preparations for the upcoming local government elections, Bilawal directed PPP parliamentarians and party leaders to challenge their opponents vigorously. He hinted at returning to Lahore in the near future to further these efforts.
Bilawal emphasized that all political entities must operate within their constitutional framework and warned that those jeopardizing national cohesion will face strict consequences. He reaffirmed the PPP’s democratic values and its unwavering commitment to serving the public.
He also pledged to personally visit various neighborhoods and communities across Punjab to address people’s concerns and ensure solutions are implemented. Reassuring party workers, he stressed that they have his full support and promised an ongoing connection between the party and the people of Punjab.
Earlier, Punjab Governor Sardar Salim Haider Khan expressed gratitude for Bilawal’s visit, stating it had rejuvenated the morale of party workers. He assured that he and the PPP team would work tirelessly to promote Bilawal’s vision across every corner of the province.
