Islamabad: Inflation continues to reign in the country, last week the rate increased by nine percent, but this week there was a slight decrease of only zero point six percent. In one week, prices of 18 essential items including onion, garlic and flour have increased

The Caretaker government failed provide relief to the people suffering from inflation, on a weekly basis a slight decrease in the rate of inflation was recorded by 0.06% and the prices of 18 items increased.

According to the weekly report of the Bureau of Statistics, the price of garlic rose by Rs 26 per kg, onion by Rs 3 per kg, live chicken by Rs 6 and a bag of 20 kg flour by Rs 16 this week. The prices of dal masoor, mung dal and chickpea dal have also increased

According to the weekly report of the Bureau of Statistics, tomatoes became cheaper by 9 rupees per kg during a week. The prices of 12 essential items including vegetable ghee, eggs, open milk, cigarettes, sugar and bananas recorded a decrease while the prices of 21 items remained stable
