Inflation resulted into record low numbers of Hajj applications so far

Islamabad: A record low numbers of applications have received so far for next year Hajj under the government scheme.

Only six thousands applications have been received across the country in six days. The hajj applications for the Hajjj 2024 will be received in 15 nominated banks to December 12.

Approximately, as many as 89,605 Pakistanis will perform Hajj 2024 under the government Hajj schemes.

At a time of announcing the Hajj policy 2024, Federal Minister for religious affairs and the famed media personality Aneeq Ahmed said that for the first time in the history of the country that present year Hajj will be cheap than the previous hajj.

Low Cost Hajj 2024

Coming year Hajj will be of cost Rs 1.075 million, or Rs 10,75000 while the previous Hajj was conducted on the expenditure of Rs 11,75000, he apprised.

Start and End of Receiving of Hajj Applications

He apprised that the receiving of Hajj applications will be received till December 12 adding that the overseas Pakistanis who will send dollars can carry out Hajj and behalf of other hajj can be carried out.

The Minister informed that we are introducing a short Hajj package so that pilgrims will return to the country in a 20-day.

He said that Saudi Minister for Hajj extended enough cooperation with us adding that we wanted to seek pilgrims prayers for the ministry and its whole staffer including him.

Aneeq Ahmed said that we worked for a three-month for formation of the Hajj policy 2024.

He said that this year Hajj will be digitized adding they will be provided with mobile balance that they can make uncounted calls.

The Minister for religious affairs said that it is teaching of the Quran that every well to do person has obligation to perform Hajj once in his or her lifetime.

Incentive to Hajj Pilgrims if negotiations with Airlines get successful

Aneeq Ahmed said that negotiations are continuing with the airlines to get reduced airfare for the Hajj operation. He said if we succeed in securing relief in the airfare, the amount will be transferred to the accounts of pilgrims.

Discount on less days stay in Madina

He said the pilgrims will also be returned Rs thirty five thousand if they choose to stay four instead of eight days in Madina.

Mobile Application for Hajj Pilgrims

Aneeq Ahmad said Hajj 2024 will be digitalized wherein pilgrims will get a mobile application that could be used without internet. The app will have many options including the one of lodging complaints.
