LAHORE: National Security Advisor Dr. Moeed Yusuf says the initial investigation into the recent terrorist blast in Lahore has provided concrete evidence of Indian involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan.
He was addressing a joint news conference with Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain and Inspector General of Police Punjab, Inam Ghani in Islamabad today (Sunday).
Dr Moeed Yousf said the mastermind and handlers of the blast have been identified through forensic analysis of the electronic equipment recovered from the terrorists involved in the incident.
He said we have absolutely no doubt that the main mastermind of the blast is an Indian national, who belongs to the Indian intelligence agency RAW.
Moeed Yusuf said that the prime minister has given clear instructions to expose the Indian hand in terrorist attacks in Pakistan and utilize all legal and other resources to pursue the case globally and expose the real face of the neighbouring country.
Inam Ghani said that they have arrested all suspects in Pakistan and also have the call and bank records of their handlers operating from abroad.
Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry congratulated the IG Punjab and noted that it was the combined efforts by all the agencies and security forces and other institutions as a result of which all the linkages were exposed “and we found out India’s direct involvement” in this.
