Lahore: Inoculation for people waiting for going abroad could not be started as the National Data Base Registration Authority (NADRA) system could not be updated.
Despite arrival of moderna vaccine from the USA, the people who wanted to go abroad still are being told to wait. The system of NADRA at the Expo center Lahore could not be updated.
The people are still waiting for inoculation after which they will be able to fly abroad.
Pakistan in last week received 2.5 million doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine donated by the United States at Islamabad International Airport.
These vaccines are being delivered to the Pakistani people in partnership with the COVAX global vaccine initiative, UNICEF, and the Government of Pakistan, a statement issued from the US Embassy in Pakistan read.
The doses will be administered to overseas Pakistanis and people who are suffering from chronic diseases on a priority basis.
The US-made Moderna vaccine is also approved by Saudi Arabia, Gulf states, Europe and the United States (US).
