Multan: Interesting competition in the general elections can be witnessed between chairman of Istahkam-e-Pakistan Party Jehangir Khan Tareen and an independent candidate belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Malik Ami Dogar NA-149 Multan.
Jehangir Tareen deprived of contesting elections back in 2018 owing to his disqualification from the PTI ticket.
Now he has parted ways with the PTI and made his own party Istahkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP).
Malik Aamir Dogar had won the elections with 135,872 number of votes while the PML-N candidate Sheikh Tariq Rashid was runner up with 78,861 votes.
After May-9 incident and its repercussion on one hand, the IPP seat adjustment with PML-N on the other hand, the PTI candidate victory has marred with doubts.
There is a bright chances for Jehangir Khan Tareen winning the seat.
