Karachi: Federal interior ministry has declared social media site X a risk for the national security of the country and refused the Sindh High Court (SHC) to restore the social media plate form in the case of banning X and closure of internet.
The interior ministry has submitted its report before the SHC.
According to the report, anti-state materials have been uploaded on the X platform while the ban has imposed for respect of the country.
The report also apprises that many countries imposed bans on social media site.
The Interior Ministry in his reply to the court said that the purpose of work of the interior ministry is to safeguard the rights of the Pakistani people.
The ministry also apprised that all the legal formalities were fulfilled before banning the X.
