WEB DESK: An Israeli newspaper has claimed that Pakistani soldiers could be part of the international force deployed in Gaza.
According to the Israeli publication Times of Israel, Israeli defense officials have informed legislators that the international force being formed to establish stability after a two-year conflict in Gaza might include Pakistani military personnel.
The Israeli website Walla News reported that during a closed-door briefing last week with the Israeli Knesset’s Foreign and Defense Committee, it was revealed that soldiers from Indonesia, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan could be part of this international mission. The report states that Indonesia has already offered to send troops for this mission, and according to Times of Israel, Azerbaijan has also expressed readiness to provide its soldiers.
However, it was noted that there has been no official announcement or public mention regarding the potential participation of Pakistani troops so far.
It is worth mentioning that yesterday, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Marriyum Aurangzeb, indicated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would respond regarding the possible deployment of Pakistani forces in Gaza.
