IPL Chairman Threatens To Boycott World Cup Matches Against Pakistan

MUMBAI: Chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rajeev Shukla has threatened to boycott all matches with Pakistan in the upcoming mega event World Cup 2019.

The IPL chairman was quoted saying that India will not play against Pakistan until ‘Pakistan does not halt supporting terrorism’.

He said, “We do not want to relate politics with sports, but may continue to boycott playing against Pakistan until they do not stop supporting terrorism”.

Although, he backed his statement by adding that the event is still far away and he awaits the Indian Government’s motive on the affair.

India is scheduled to play Pakistan on 16th June in the Cricket World Cup 2019 which will be held in England and Wales from 30th May. Moreover, the tickets have also been sold for the scheduled match to fans.
