Karachi: Iranian President Dr Ebrahim Raisi on Tuesday in his three-day tour to Pakistan, visited Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah mausoleum.
The Iranian President laid floral wreath and offered fateha.
Earlier the Iranian President arrived Karachi in a special plane from Lahore, on his arrival Governor Sindh Kmaran Tessori, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah welcomed the guest on the airport.
Besides, provincial ministers Azra Pechohu, Sharjeel Inam Memon, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, member National Assembly (NA) Asifa Bhutto Zardari were also welcomed him on the airport.
The Governor Sindh praised the Iranian President over his arrival in Karachi.
A strict security measures have been taken on the arrival of the guest in Karachi.
A spokesman of Karachi police apprised that as many as 3,847 police officers and personnel deployed in the city.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will stay in Karachi on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday and will leave the city early morining.
In Karachi, the Iranian President has scheduled meet-up with Governor Sindh, and Chief Minister Sindh.
On the other hand, the main arteries of the city were also closed beyond the earlier annouced time of the closure owing to which Karachiites faced difficulties
roaming free on the roads.
Karachi administration has announced closure of main roads of Karachi specially Shahra-e-Faisal from 3 to 5 pm.
But the closure remained on the place till 5: 45 pm.
