Iranian Revolutionary Guards claim to have targeted 85 U.S. military sites in Kuwait, Bahrain

WEB DESK: Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) announced on Wednesday that they launched a coordinated missile and drone attack, striking 85 American military installations across Kuwait and Bahrain in retaliation for recent U.S. strikes. The Iranian state broadcaster IRIB conveyed the statement, highlighting the scale of the operation.

A Member of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Killed in U.S. Airstrikes

According to Iran’s official IRNA news agency, a member of the IRGC Navy, Mohammad Reza Khazini, was killed during U.S. airstrikes in southwestern Iran. The IRGC reported that Khazini was fatally wounded by shrapnel while confronting enemy drones in the port city of Mahshahr, near the Iraqi border.

Qatar Denies Involvement in LNG Tanker Attack

Iran dismissed accusations made by Qatar regarding an attack on one of its vessels. The Qatari government claimed Tehran was responsible for targeting a liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker off Oman. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei described Qatar’s allegations as questionable and unacceptable, emphasizing Iran’s commitment to good neighborly relations.

Iran Warns of Strong Retaliation

Following recent U.S. strikes near the Strait of Hormuz, Iran warned it would take decisive action. Reports from Iranian state media described multiple explosions in the region, including six on Qeshm Island and others in Sirik and Bandar Abbas. Iran’s Foreign Ministry issued a warning, accusing the U.S. of violating a memorandum of understanding aimed at de-escalating tensions, and pledged to defend its sovereignty.

U.S. Strikes Target Over 80 Iranian Positions

The U.S. Central Command announced that American forces targeted more than 80 sites in Iran, including air defense systems, command centers, radar installations, anti-ship missile sites, and dozens of IRGC boats, in response to attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

Kuwait Responds to Missile and Drone Assaults

Kuwait’s military stated they are actively defending against missile and drone attacks, believed to be linked to Iran’s retaliatory actions. The Kuwait Army indicated that air defense systems intercepted hostile projectiles, without specifying the origin of the attacks.

Air Sirens in Bahrain Amid Rising Tensions

The Bahraini interior ministry reported activating air sirens on Wednesday, amid heightened tensions following U.S. strikes on Iranian targets. Authorities urged citizens and residents to stay calm and seek shelter, as regional instability continues to escalate.
