Ireland defeat Pakistan by five wickets for the first time in first T-20 match

Dublin: Ireland have defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the first T-20 match of three match series here at Dublin.

Ireland completed the target of 183 runs in the last over.

Andy Balbirnie was remained top scorer from Ireland by scoring 77 runs.

On the other hand Harry Tector scored 36 and George Dockrell made 24 runs.

Abbass Afridi got two wickets while Shaheen Shah Afridi, Imad Waseem, Naseem Shah took one wicket each.

Pakistan had given a target of 183 runs to Ireland in the first T-20 match of three match series here in Dublin.

Pakistan skipper Baber Azam remained top scorer with 57 runs followed by Sayib Ayub 45, Iftakhar Ahmed 37, Fakhar Zaman 20.

Pakistan made 182 runs off 6 wickets.

Craig Young got 2 wickets, while Mark Adair, Gareth Delany took one wicket each.

Earlier, Ireland Skipper Paul Stirling had decided to field first against Pakistan after winning the toss.
