Irfan confesses contacts with bookies

The defiant fast bowler and under the corsshairs of spot fixing  accusations has confessed, in a video statement recorded before the anti-corruption unit of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), that bookies had contacts him but he could not inform PCB due to mother’s death.  

Following the corruption charges on Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif, the fast bowler has become the under the spot light of PCB and after the ended of the PSL, PCB has summoned him to record his statement.

Sources confirmed that Muhammad Irfan admitted that bookies had contacted him before PSL but he could not inform PCB due to his mother’s death that mentally disturbed him.

He further told the anti-corruption unit that he had not taken any such step that put him on embarrassing situation, however his mistake was to not inform PCB timely.
