KARACHI: The former governor Sindh and the Ex leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) may re-enter in national politics, but undecided about party he will join.
Talking to the media on Saturday night, the former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Ebad stressed that there was a need for a “new platform” from where new leadership can come forward to address the national issues.
the longest serving Sindh governor is still undecided about what party he would join despite holding meetings with disgruntled Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Miftah Ismail, who have announced they would launch a new political party soon.
Ebad, who remained Sindh’s governor for 14 years from December 2002 to November 2016, described the judiciary, parliament and armed forces as important pillars of the state of Pakistan. “A perception shouldn’t emerge that relations among these pillars of any state are strained.”
He remarked that the president is the constitutional head of the country and represents the unified federation, so the Presidency in the prevailing political scenario should use its influence and remove misunderstandings and tensions among different pillars of the state.
