Islamabad: High Court allowed senior lawyer Latif Khosa to go abroad.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard the request to remove Latif Khosa’s name from ECL, Sardar Latif Khosa Advocate appeared in the court.
The public prosecutor said, Latif Khosa’s name is in the ECL and a case is registered, the court inquired whether the challan has been submitted. The public prosecutor said that the challan has not been submitted yet.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani remarked that there is a violation of Section 144, what is this 7 ATA, should they be arrested? DSP Legal replied that not to arrest but I will ask.
The court remarked, how many papers of 188 have been given so far? There will be thousands, all the names have been put in ECL? Explain one thing so that their name is put in ECL, will they run away and not come back?
While inquiring the government lawyer, the court said that why the trial court was stopped? Answer these questions.
Latif Khosa said, that five had a flight but were not allowed to go, now they have to go to Canada tomorrow.
The court directed Latif Khosa to give an affidavit in the trial court when summoned by the court and at the same time the High Court adjourned the hearing with directions allowing Latif Khosa to go out.
