ISLAMABAD: The two-day 9th Ministerial Conference on Women organized by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has officially begun in Islamabad today.
This year’s event is centered around the theme: “Socio-economic and Political Empowerment of Women in the OIC Countries: Challenges and Opportunities.”
Over 190 delegates representing 57 OIC member nations are attending the conference.
The gathering aims to bring together ministers in charge of women and family affairs, senior government officials, representatives from OIC-affiliated institutions, international organizations, and development agencies. The primary goal is to discuss strategies and initiatives to promote the socio-economic and political advancement of women within the OIC member states.
