ISLAMABAD: Police on Monday arrested senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr Arif Alvi MNA and Imran Inmail.
The duo was arrested while going to party chief’s Bani Gala residence. When Islamabad police stopped them from moving towards Bani Gala, they staged a protest sit-in at the road leading to Bani Gala.
Following their sit-in, they were taken into custody by police. Both the leaders were shifted to Secretariat Police Station.
It is to be mentioned here that PTI Chief Imran Khan had called on all PTI workers and supporter to gather at Bani Gala today. The PTI is going to lock down the federal capital on Nov 2 to press the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for his alleged involvement in corruption.
