Islamabad: Islamabad police on occasion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) heads of state summit have placed 30 additional check posts in capital.
On these checkposts, as many as 1,087 officers and personnel are deployed while the measure has been taken to stop people going towards redzone and Jinnah avenue.
Islamabad police have banned entry of any citizen in the areas while express highway also blocked from both the sides.
The Law Enforccement Agencies (LEAs) also closed Lehtarar road.
Moreover, the police have requested to the people to avoid unnecessary travel today.
