ISPR Chief challenges Imran Khan’s sons to join the fight against extremism

RAWALPINDI: Lieutenant General Ahmad Shareef Choudhury, the Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), issued a bold call to Imran Khan’s children, urging them to enlist in the military and confront extremism head-on.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, the military spokesperson criticized PTI Chairman Imran Khan for his remarks against the armed forces, emphasizing that while soldiers and officers are laying down their lives to combat terrorism, Khan continues to criticize the military establishment. He challenged Khan to personally stand up to terrorists.

Addressing Khan directly, the ISPR chief said, “Your sons are abroad, but at least bring them forward. Send your children to serve in the army and face the extremists.”

He also warned against the rising narrative of hatred towards the armed forces, stressing that soldiers risk everything on the battlefield and are prepared to give their lives for the nation. “Who is willing to face the extremists? Who sacrifices their life for the country? We are ready to do what it takes to protect Pakistan,” he concluded.
