LAHORE: Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, visited leading academic institutions in Lahore, including Aitchison College, the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), and Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), where he interacted with students and faculty members.
During the visits, special interactive sessions were held focusing on national security, emerging threats, hybrid warfare, and the responsibilities of young people in safeguarding the country’s future. The discussions highlighted the evolving nature of modern conflicts and the importance of intellectual preparedness alongside conventional defense.
University administrators, teachers, and students voiced their trust in the professionalism and preparedness of the Pakistan Armed Forces. Faculty members reaffirmed that educational institutions would stand united with the military in times of national importance.
Participants described the sessions as insightful, noting that they provided clarity on contemporary security challenges and broadened their understanding of strategic and cognitive dimensions of warfare. Many students said the engagement strengthened their sense of patriotism and awareness of national issues.
Observers view such direct interactions between the Pakistan Army and academic institutions as a constructive step toward fostering mutual understanding, confidence, and informed dialogue among the country’s youth.
Students also expressed solidarity against external threats and appreciation for the country’s defense capabilities.
