RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has officially launched “Hilal Talks 2025, an esteemed academic and intellectual forum aimed at fostering awareness and understanding of contemporary security challenges.

A diverse group of 1,950 teachers from across Pakistan are participating in this important initiative. The event’s core goal is to equip educators with knowledge about the tactics and malicious strategies employed by anti-state elements, especially on social media platforms.

Participants expressed appreciation for the enriching sessions, which offered a rare opportunity to delve into the Pakistan Army’s structure, functions, and operational methods. The program also featured insights from prominent academics and journalists, enhancing the depth and breadth of the discussions.

A key highlight was the discussion on regional security threats, with the program emphasizing allegations that India is orchestrating covert operations against Pakistan through strategies like “Fitna al-Khawarij” and “Fitna al-Hindustan.”

In his keynote, Director General ISPR, Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary, addressed a wide array of topics, providing well-articulated responses to questions from educators. Participants found his discourse highly beneficial, noting that it significantly broadened their understanding of national security issues.

Dr. Sundas Mustaqeem, Assistant Professor at NUST, praised the event for inviting experts from various fields, which enriched the learning experience. Similarly, Dr. Abdul Qudoos Sohaib of Bahauddin Zakariya University expressed his appreciation for the DG ISPR’s comprehensive talk on terrorism, particularly in the context of Balochistan.

Dr. Sareena Ehsan of Kinnaird College highlighted the importance of understanding fifth-generation warfare, especially regarding the influence of social media. Nabiullah, Director at Karakoram University, emphasized that the military belongs to the people and that such interactions help dispel misconceptions about security forces.

Farah Faisal, from the University of Gwadar, pointed out the role of social media in spreading misinformation and fake news, underscoring the need for awareness. Meanwhile, Dr. Imtiaz Awan from AJK University appreciated how the DG ISPR communicated Pakistan’s narrative effectively, reinforcing national solidarity.
