RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Friday that security forces have neutralized 30 terrorists supported by India involved in the October 7 attack in Orakzai, which resulted in the martyrdom of 11 military personnel, including two officers.
According to a military statement, the operation targeted terrorists responsible for the heinous incident in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Orakzai district. The military said the operation was launched based on credible intelligence, and during intense firefights in the Jamal Maya area, all 30 terrorists linked to the attack were killed.
The ISPR highlighted that among the martyrs were Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Tariq and Major Tayyab Rahat, who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. The military remains committed to ongoing sanitization efforts to locate and eliminate any remaining Indian-backed militants in the region.
Military officials emphasized that these successful operations serve as justice and retribution for the attack, and they reaffirm Pakistan’s resolve to eradicate Indian-sponsored terrorism from its soil.
The President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, paid tribute to the security forces for their decisive actions in Orakzai. He expressed that the sacrifices of the martyrs will always be remembered and praised the armed forces for dismantling the network of Indian-backed terrorists, which he called a matter of national pride.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also lauded the security personnel for their bravery during the operation in Jamal Maya. He assured the nation that the campaign against terrorism will continue until all threats are eliminated, and emphasized that the sacrifices of the shaheeds (martyrs) will not be in vain.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the professionalism of the security forces, stating that eliminating 30 terrorists backed by India marks a significant victory and demonstrates Pakistan’s operational capabilities. He vowed full support to the ongoing fight against terrorism and stressed that terrorists will not find refuge in Pakistan.

The forum condemned the nexus between terrorism, crime, and political patronage that threatens national security.
