TANK: Security forces have eliminated twelve terrorists affiliated with the Indian-backed group Fitna al Khwarij following an attack on a joint police checkpoint in Tank district.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the assailants attempted to breach the security of the check post last night. However, their malicious intentions were promptly thwarted through the swift and determined response of the security personnel.
The brave security forces demonstrated exceptional professionalism and resilience, engaging the fleeing militants with precision and resolve. During the clash, fifteen valiant individuals, including twelve army personnel, two police officers, and a government official from the former Forest Department, made the ultimate sacrifice and embraced martyrdom.
In a desperate act, the attackers rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the perimeter wall. The blast caused significant damage to the check post infrastructure, resulting in the martyrdom of personnel.
A clearance operation is currently underway to locate and neutralize any remaining Kharji militants linked to Indian sponsorship in the vicinity.
The ongoing Counter Terrorism efforts, under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan, will persist at full strength. The security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eradicating foreign-supported terrorism from the country.
