Tehran: Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said Monday that Israel’s attacks on residential areas and nuclear sites were carried out with US support, and dismissed any talk of nuclear negotiations as “meaningless” under current conditions.
“Israel, with the support of the United States, attacked us,” Baghaei said during a press conference, accusing both countries of violating international norms and threatening regional peace.
Baghaei also rejected what he described as “ambiguous statements calling for Iran’s restraint,” saying they amount to hypocrisy.
The spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry continued his news briefing by holding up pictures of several civilian victims of Israeli attacks, including children, and sharing their stories.
“It is the Zionist entity that is accustomed to killing innocent children, as they are doing in Gaza,” Esmail Baghaei said.
He said that the predator cannot be put on equal footing with the victim.
The Iran Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said that all the member states of the United Nations must be reminded that if you believe in the UN Charter, in the rule of law, international law and the collective security of the international community, you must act.
