The Israeli military has been captured by Al Jazeera cameras while opening fire on the Palestinian citizens seeking aid at the Kuwaiti roundabout in Gaza City.
This was the second attack on aid seekers by the Israeli occupational forces in Gaza City within two days.
Meanwhile, UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini has apprised the United Nations General Assembly that UNRWA was in “uncharted territory” with “serious” consequences for global and regional security if more funding was not obtained.
Lazzarini said it was impossible to adequately describe the suffering in Gaza as doctors were amputating limbs of children without anesthetic amid. He said over 100 people were killed a few days ago while desperately seeking food. Whereas, babies, just a few months old, were dying of malnutrition and dehydration, he said.
“The death toll in Gaza is staggering. More than 30,000 Palestinians have reportedly been killed in just 150 days; 5% of the population is dead, injured or missing. It is impossible to adequately describe the suffering in Gaza,” the UNRWA chief said.
