WEB DESK: Following the announcement of Naeem Qasim as the new chief of Hizbullah, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has issued a direct threat against him. In a statement on social media platform X, Gallant shared an image of Qasim and wrote that this appointment is temporary and will not last long.
The Israeli Defense Minister also released a similar statement in Hebrew, indicating that this appointment is interim and that the countdown has begun.
It’s noteworthy that Hizbullah officially elected Naeem Qasim as its leader following the martyrdom of Hassan Nasrallah just a month prior. Qasim has served as Nasrallah’s deputy for many years and was appointed as the interim head of the organization after Nasrallah’s death. He has also been a member of Hizbullah’s Shura Committee for three consecutive terms.
