Israeli Military issues evacuation orders of two Northern Gaza Towns

WEB DESK: Late Monday,  Israeli army issued an urgent evacuation order for Palestinians living in the northern Gaza towns of Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun, advising them to move west toward designated shelters.

“This is a final warning before the strike!” declared army spokesperson Avichay Adraee in a statement. He alleged that rockets were being fired from civilian-populated areas and urged residents to prioritize their safety by evacuating immediately.

The army’s ground operations in these towns commenced three days ago, resulting in significant displacement of Palestinian residents.

Since the surprise aerial campaign in the Gaza Strip began on March 18, at least 730 people have been killed, with close to 1,200 others reported injured, all occurring despite a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that began in January.

Since October 2023, reports indicate that over 50,000 Palestinians, primarily women and children, have lost their lives, with more than 113,200 injured due to ongoing Israeli military actions in the region.

In November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing war crimes and crimes against humanity related to the conflict in Gaza.

Additionally, Israel is facing allegations of genocide in a case brought before the International Court of Justice concerning its military actions in the enclave.
