Jadhav Revealed Vital Info about recent Terrorism Activities: FO

Islamabad (May 29, 2017): Foreign office spokesperson Nafees Zakria said that Kulbhushan Jadhav has revealed vital information regarding recent terrorism incident and few have been arrested.

In a statement FO spokesperson said that the information revealed by Kulbhushan being reviewed by all dimensional and its link with recent terrorism incident also investigated.

“Following Kulbhushan revelation Few of facilitators involved in recent terrorism incident have been taken into custody and being investigated,” Nafees Zakria said.

Khawar Quereshi on Kulbhushan

Earlier, The Pakistan’s counsel in International Criminal Court Khawar Quereshi, who presented Pakistan’s stance over Kulbhushan has dismissed rumors that ICJ considering to quit Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, who was death sentenced by Pakistan but stayed ICJ temporarily.

Pakistan’s lawyer in ICJ Khawar Quereshi categorically denied the impression that ICJ would release the Kulbhushan Jadhav and said “Kulbhushan is not going anywhere and not even any consideration to release him in ICJ.

He said that foreign ministry will soon issue a detailed statement regarding ICJ proceeding.

Jadhav’s death sentence was stayed by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in Hague on May 18, following proceedings in which Pakistani and Indian lawyers argued over the legitimacy of the death sentence awarded to Jadhav by a Pakistani military court.

Jadhav was detained on March 3, 2016 in Balochistan soon after which military released a confessional video of the spy in which he confessed to working to destabilise Pakistan with focus on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

India recently took the issue to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) seeking provisional stay to his execution.

The Indian spy was sentenced to death after a trial in a military court however, ICJ has halted agent’s execution until further order.
