PESHAWAR: Due to the attack in Bolan, Jaffar Express departed from Peshawar to Quetta after being suspended for 15 days.
Jaffar Express train was launched from Peshawar Cantonment Railway Station in the presence of Federal Minister Amir Muqam and railway officials.
The Jaffar Express will depart from Peshawar and travel through Punjab, Sindh, and then into Balochistan, reaching Quetta after a journey of 34 hours. A total of 280 passengers have made reservations for the journey, with 28 passengers departing from Peshawar.
The train will enter Balochistan after passing through Punjab and Sindh. The Jaffar Express is the only train that traverses all four provinces.
It is noteworthy that the Jaffar Express faced a terrorist attack on March 11, after which the train service was suspended. However, it has now resumed its journey from Peshawar Cantonment Railway Station after a hiatus of 16 days.
In a discussion with the media, Amir Muqam stated that those who wanted to halt the development of Balochistan have been disappointed, emphasizing that the nation is united against terrorism and calling for an end to political maneuvering.
He accused a specific party of fostering hatred and incitement.
It is noteworthy that two weeks ago, in the Bolan area of Balochistan, terrorists attacked the Jaffar Express, taking all passengers, including women and children, hostage.
They opened fire, resulting in the martyrdom of 26 individuals, including 18 soldiers.
Pakistani army commandos carried out a counter-operation, successfully killing all 31 terrorists involved.
