QUETTA: The death toll of the twin blast targeting Jaffer Express has increased to seven, as three injured succumbed to their injuries during treatment at a local hospital.
It is to be mentioned here that two bombs planted in bogie No3 and 9 of Jaffer Express went off in Machh area of Balochistan, killing four passengers and injuring about 20.
The train was going to Rawalpindi from Quetta. The bodies and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital and CMH Quetta. Three injured succumbed to their injuries during treatment in hospital, pushing the death toll to seven.
Some 18 injured are being treated at Combined Military Hospital Quetta while an injured is admitted at trauma centre of Civil Hospital, Quetta.
Earlier, soon after the blast, police and other law enforcement agencies personnel rushed to the site of the blast and cordoned off the area. Bomb Disposal Squad was also called in.
